Un Giorno a Ostuni

We traveled north by train about 50 minutes to Ostuni, The White City. Seen from afar, it is indeed a brilliant white-washed hilltop town overlooking the Adriatic.
We sat at a café enjoying the view, enjoyed a pizza at a restaurant that reminded us of Greece, and even had a ride on a ferris wheel.
We had difficulty finding a taxi down the hill to the train station, but found a tuk tuk who did the job. It was a little scary as the driver liked speed, but we made it in one piece. We leave Lecce tomorrow as well as our friends, Rick and Sharon. They will continue north to spend a few days in Bari, and we will head west to the seaside town of Taranto located on the instep of the boot.
